About me...

I’m a registered member of the BACP and trained in an integrative approach at London South Bank University. My practice is rooted in collaboration. Together, we can explore your goals, your expectations—both of therapy and of life—and build a therapeutic relationship that supports your growth.

I offer a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can begin to explore your thoughts and feelings openly. Many clients find that through this work, they begin to trust themselves more, gain clarity, and feel empowered to express their needs—both in therapy and in the wider world.

While I work in open-ended, general practice, I also have a specialist interest in grief and extensive experience supporting clients through endings and loss. I’ve worked within a bereavement service, completed couples therapy training, and recently undertaken training in trauma-informed approaches and neurodivergence, with a focus on autism.

Working in therapy with someone you trust can be the first step to changing your life.

"The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed."

My Approach

Emma Baker Therapy provides a safe, holding space for anyone who feels they need extra support to be their best, strongest selves.

I really believe in talking therapy.

It is a huge privilege to listen to people's stories, to join them on their journey for a while and to help them find clarity for and within themselves.

The relationship between the client and the therapist is the magic ingredient.

I work integratively which means that we can explore your experience of your life in the present, and also consider how your past influences your thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

But the relationship that we work on between us, in the therapeutic space, is what can make all the difference.

There’s lots of research that shows that regardless of the specific theory behind the work – the relationship between the client and the therapist is the magic ingredient.

"When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves."

-Viktor Frankl
